Reflections from one Lucky Devil…
(Warning: I will toot my own horn in the following post)
2022 has been one Hell of a year, in the form of blessings, collaborations, friendships and pure happiness.
Here are some of the highlights…🖤
LobsterMoonTarot.com launch
22/02/22 I launched www.lobstermoontarot.com and what a ride that has been. I started offering tarot readings in a modern digital format in my webshop. Later this year I added occult merch, designed by myself in the form of Spell Keeper mojo pouches, Psychic in a Box for quick divination and latest my Die Daily altar cloths - vintage handkerchief with silkscreen printed Aleister Crowley quote. More is on the drawing board as we speak, both new readings and more quirky merch.
Thank you for your purchases, guest blog posts and general love & support! 🖤
Copenhagen Occult Club
Early spring I met my now partner-in-crime Mai Ulrikka and we instantly became friends and she jumped right in and helped me manifest my vision of the Copenhagen Occult Club and for that I’m forever grateful. Tarot, rituals, workshops, witchy film screening and hygge with like-minded occult nerds has been such a joy. More of that next year! Thanks to all who came to our events. Our club would be nothing without you! 🖤
Occulture Conference
Mai and I also went on a research field trip to Occulture Conference in Berlin which was awesome! We brought home so much inspiration, new ideas and creativity from that weekend. We'll be back next year. Hopefully playing an active role somehow. 🖤
Earth Magick Tarot
In May I got offered a dream assignment from my desert friend, the occult artist, musician and entrepreneur Daniel Martin Diaz who called me and asked me to write the guidebook for the epic tarot deck he was in the beginning phase of creating. First I was afraid, I was petrified and I tried to decline for a second, but he insisted and we ended up doing the impossible and created The Earth Magick Tarot deck and divination guidebook in only 4 months. (read an older blog post about the project) I'm still in awe and humbled that I got to do this. And still a bit anxious about the launch of the project, so many eyes are going to be reading my words. But! What an adventure! Also a special thanks to my man Rasmus and new friend Jocelyn Hoppa for helping us finish this project in style doing the layout and editing. Thanks Daniel for your trust and faith in me!🖤
Day of the Dead
On my birthday, Oct 29th I was a volunteer at the Day of the Dead at Vestre Kirkegård in Copenhagen. The first event of its kind here (at least on this scale and on official city level). In the weeks and days leading up to the event I participated in different ritual workshops with the Dutch ritual designer Ida Van Der Lee. On the day of, I was a ritual-guide at the Dining with the Dead ritual, such a meaningful and spiritual ritual. All in all, it was such a beautiful and educational experience. 🖤
Cult Pump
In November I started my current apprenticeship (as part of my formal education in Marketing and communication design) at Cult Pump Studio with artist, cartoonist and screen printer Zven Balslev and it has been so cool and cozy. We formed a good work partnership that went beyond what I expected. Spending time at the Cult Pump Studio has been wildly inspirational and educational. And of course I found a way to sneak in some tarot as well. We're currently creating a super limited edition majors only tarot deck, all hand printed, coming out soon. I really look forward to seeing that project materialize and showing it to the world! Thanks Zven for making me part of the Cult.🖤
Podcast
I also had the honor of being invited to be a guest on the nr. 1 Spiritual podcast in Denmark Det Spitituelle Hjørne with AnnaSophia Petri and talk about tarot and the occult. That was so much fun and yet another episode will be out soon. Thanks AnnaSophia!🖤
In my private life…
On a personal level I also was blessed with good fortune and abundance in the form of finally making some money doing what I love! 🖤
And the new friends I've made (none mentioned, none forgotten, you know who you are) and the old ones still in my life (even though I have become weirder than ever), are a huge and important thing for me. Thank you 🖤
I was also so fortunate that I got to conduct my first wedding ceremony for a very special couple. I really felt like a fish in water and loved every minute of it. Thanks Nanna & David for the trust and love. This amazing experience led me to start my official training as a humanistic celebrant, an educational program I will be finishing this spring and then I’ll be ready to conduct official weddings and name-giving ceremonies in the summer of 2023. 🖤
On a very peronal level… A new sense of being in love also came to me and my man of nearly 20 years this year, and for this I'm over the Moon with butterflies in my stomach, lust and love. R+M 4-ever (Btw we're also creating a tarot deck together! We will announce more in the new year) 🖤
And I legally changed my name this year! That’s a huge thing when you think about it, but it didn’t feel huge to me, it felt completely natural and like no big deal. I embraced my new name from day one and never looked back. 🖤
What an amazing year! Thank you all for being part of my journey this year! I’m beyond grateful and appreciative. I'm truly one Lucky Devil, that's for damn sure. 🖤
